Applied Imaging and Applications to the World Wide Web I.
PREREQ: An introductory hands-on microcomputer course. COREQ: ART 108.

This course will train students with the concepts and techniques for the creation
of functional web site design for the World Wide Web. There will be an emphasis in developing artistic and html proficiency. We will generate graphics and images, construct web sites using hand-coding html along with html editor programs. This course will stress the usage of hand coded HTML, Adobe ImageReady, Dreamweaver MX and Fetch.


At the end of this course, students will:

  • understand web design principles.
  • be able to articulate and demonstrate the requirements for an effective website.
  • be able to create websites by using HTML.
  • be able to create and publish websites using Adobe Imageready, Dreamweaver and Fetch.
  • be familiar with internet terminology.
  • know how to use major Internet tools such as browsers, and File Transfer Protocol.
